Transportation
Briancon is a small town in the mountainous region of the Alps and as such it is a bit difficult to get there. The main communication line with the rest of the world is the train. There are a number of French cities that offer a direct connection to Briancon by train, but also some from which you can reach the town via Marseille.

By train
From Paris there is a direct night train to Briancon. During the day there are direct trains from Grenoble, Lyon, Marseille or Aix en Provence, and via Marseille from Nice, Toulouse or Montpellier.
By car
Briancon is at considerable distance by road, from major European cities. Get around
Getting around couldn’t be easier as Briancon is a very small town. The only downfall is that it has many ups and downs, so walking will be a bit tiring.
